Going the DIY route? Here's my insider guide from years of full-time bedazzling. 💕
1. Pick your crowd and count your guests 👯♀️
Know your headcount early so you can order the right number of kits. Always order one or two extras. Someone always brings a surprise plus-one!
2. Choose what you'll bedazzle 🎨
DIY kits are the easiest because the design is already mapped out. Other guest favorites: tumblers, phone cases, compact mirrors, hair clips, sunglasses, and notebooks.
3. Set up your sparkle station ✨
Cover tables with a wipeable tablecloth (rhinestones love to roll!)
Give each guest their own workspace and tray
Keep drinks and snacks on a separate table, away from the glue
Set aside a flat, safe spot for finished pieces to dry
Good lighting is everything. Tiny stones need bright light! 💡
4. Give a quick demo 💎
Show everyone how to pick up a stone with the applicator tool and place it. Five minutes of demo saves an hour of frustration.
